SUPERHEROES
…don’t save the day for cheap. They do it for a hefty price.
When the “Department,” the organization overseeing all things “super”, realizes it can use its inmates as cheap labor instead of giving in to the demands of the striking heroes, it creates Project BlackGuard. This dysfunctional team, made up of four super-felons, is left under the care of former hero Eli Mercer. As both their handler and their mentor, it’s up to him to shape them into the heroes the world says they can never be. The problem is, the BlackGuard have zero interest in becoming superheroes.
Alongside the many threats they face on the battlefield, the team also has to deal with a lack of support from their superiors and an ever-growing resentment from the heroes they’re replacing.
